Vintage Art Deco European ceramic match holder and striker decorated with colored card suits of hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades. Partially glazed smoothly around the edges this playing card holder and striker can accommodate the match for striking on all four ridged sides. This most likely dates from the early 1920's/30's from perhaps a casino. It was part of a large collection purchased from a match strike and inkwell collector recently.

This would suit any living room or smoking parlor, be used on a dining room table as a toothpick or candle holder when entertaining. A great housewarming or early holiday gift idea.

Match Holder measures 3.5“ wide by 3.5“ deep by 2.75 tall and weighs 10oz.

CONDITION

This match holder is in good functional condition with most of the paint missing from the central stem and a crack in the glaze which may have occurred during firing - please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description.
